GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp at Leland High School in Almaden Valley

[photo: lacrosse teens] GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps is holding a Lacrosse Summer Camp in Almaden Valley. The GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps are considered the finest in the country because of the coaching staff, which consists of the best coaches and players in the world today.

The lacrosse camp in Almaden Valley will be directed by Drew Virk, a former MLL San Francisco Dragon, NLL San Jose Stealth, and current Stanford University Head Coach.

The camp also feature ten skills clinics to develop all facets of each player’s game. Players will improve their stick, shooting, and defensive skills, as well as develop a greater understanding of team play – all in a fun and positive atmosphere.

To maximize improvement all campers are grouped by age and ability after individual evaluations. The camp is for athletes ages 8-18, from beginner skill level to top high school players.

The camp is at Leland High School in Almaden Valley, July 19-22, 2010, 9am-3pm daily. The camp price is $345 per player. You can

2010 Summer School & Camps at Holy Spirit School in Almaden Valley

Holy Spirit SchoolLooking for a local Summer school program for your child? Holy Spirit School in Almaden Valley provides a variety of Summer school programs and Summer camps.

Customize your child’s Summer school program. Choose from language arts, mathematics, science, computers, art, geography, current events, and more. Select morning, afternoon, or combine the two for a unique all day experience. The four-week programs and camps are $330 for members of Holy Spirit Church, and $380 for non-members.

The program is at Holy Spirit School from June 21 to July 16, 2010. Morning options are from 9:00 to 11:30am, and afternoon options from 12:00 to 2:00pm. Students attending all day will have lunch from 11:30am to 12:00pm. Extended care is available from 7am until 6pm for an additional fee.

Mad Science 2010 Summer Camps in Almaden Valley

Mad ScienceMad Science summer camps offer a daily combination of in-class science discovery and exploration, outdoor games, and hands-on application of the scientific principles presented. Campers create a take-home project every day of camp. The following camps are being held at Almaden Community Center:

  • Wacky Robots & Widgets (ages 7-12): June 21-25, 2010, 9am-3pm
  • NASA: Journey Into Outer Space (ages 5-7): July 6-9, 2010, 9am-12pm
  • Jet Cadets (ages 5-7): July 12-16, 2010, 9am-3pm
  • Spy Academy (ages 5-7): July 19-23, 2010, 9am-3pm
  • “Fizz”cal Phenomena & Che-Mystery (ages 5-7): August 2-6, 2010, 9am-3pm

Spring & Summer 2010 Activity Guide for Almaden Community Center

San Jose Parks Recreation & Neighborhood Services has released its City Wide Activity Guide for Spring & Summer 2010. The guide includes all of the activities planned for the Almaden Community Center.

Almaden Valley residents have a variety of activities to choose from, including the following: arts and crafts, camps, dance, early childhood recreation, education and enrichment, health and fitness, music, sports leagues and drop-ins, cooking, specialty programs, senior programs and events, and family events.

Registration for Spring & Summer 2010 activities begins on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10am. You can register online.
