College Planning Seminar in Almaden Valley
High school parents and high school juniors and seniors are invited to a free college planning seminar titled, “How to Choose the Best College for Your Student and Your Pocketbook.” You will learn how many families have found ways for their children to attend the best colleges without wiping out their wealth. The speaker is Jeffrey Morrison, Principal of Campus Pathway, a college consultancy focused on helping families find, select, and afford the best college education possible for their children. The seminar is being held at the Almaden Community Center on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 7-9pm. A reservation is required. You can register online.

Join Chef Barcia, of the Almaden Cooking Series, and learn how to prepare a special brunch to share with your family on Easter Sunday. You will learn how to make apricot glazed pork loin, scalloped potatoes, roasted veggies, and Tiramisu. This class is for adults ages 18 and older. At the Almaden Community Center, Community Room and Kitchen. Saturday, March 27, 2010, 10am-12pm. $55 for residents / $59 for non residents.
Instructors for the Dance, Act, Perform Camp guide campers through the production and performance of their very own variety show. The camp encourages creative expression and helps build self-esteem. At the end of the week campers perform their show for family and friends, complete with costumes, props, and music. For kids ages 5-11. At the Almaden Community Center. April 12-16, 2010, 1:30-4:30pm.
