Summer 2011 Gospel Light’s SonSurf Beach Blast Vacation Bible School Camp

logo: SonSurf Beach Blast Vacation Bible School AlmadenRegistration is now open for SonSurf Beach Blast Vacation Bible School at Holy Spirit Parish in Almaden Valley.

The camp is for kids going into pre-kindergarten through 5th grade.

As the kids explore the wonders of the beach, they’ll discover the big answers to their big questions about Jesus. Five essential Bible stories and memory versus will help them understand who Jesus is and why they need Him.

Campers will participate in Bible adventures, games, crafts, recreation, music, and enjoy tasty snacks. Read more about Gospel Light’s SonSurf Beach Blast Vacation Bible School.

The camp is at Holy Spirit Parish in Almaden Valley from June 13-17, 2011 from 9am-12pm daily. The price is $50 per camper if you register by April 22, 2011. You can register online. Volunteer opportunities are also available.

TechKnowHow LEGO® 2011 Summer Camps in Almaden Valley

logo: TechKnowHowTechKnowHow is offering LEGO® Summer Camps for boys and girls ages 6-9 years old.

TechKnowHow’s special half-day camps include LEGO Spybots and Master Builders. Each class has five LEGO building projects, one per day.

LEGO Spybots is for kids ages 6-9. The camp is June 20 – June 24, 2011, 2-5pm. Extended care is available from school’s on-site provider.

Master Builders is for kids ages 7-9. The camp is June 27 – July 1, 2011, 2-5pm. Extended care is not available for this session.

TechKnowHow classes enable students to learn technology skills while engaging in fun and interesting projects. Each day the students learn new skills and solidify those learned earlier in the camp. The atmosphere is supportive and fun.

Each class begins with a quick overview of key concepts. Students then begin working on their projects, with the teachers assisting them and answering their questions.

At appropriate stages of each project, students test the performance of what they are creating, while interacting with other campers and teachers.

Mad Science 2011 Summer Camps at Almaden Community Center

logo: Mad Science Summer CampsMad Science is holing several Summer camps in Almaden Valley. All Mad Science camps are for children ages 5 to 12.

Mad Science camps help spark the imagination and curiosity of children by providing them with fun, entertaining, and educational activities.

The camps instill a clearer understanding of what science is really about and how it affects the world around them.

The following Mad Science Summer camps are available at the Almaden Community Center. All camps have half day (9am to 12pm) and full day (9am to 3pm) options, with the exception of the NASA camp, which is half day only.
