U.S. Baseball Academy’s 2011 Baseball Camps in Almaden Valley

Leland High School’s Head Baseball Coach, Mike Sparrer, is the camp director. Instructors will include other coaches from around the San Jose area. The player-to-coach ration is 6-to-1.

Tryouts for the 2011 Almaden Valley Youth Soccer League Season

The Competitive Program is for boys and girls in age groups U8 – U14 who want to be trained by professional coaches and play soccer at a higher, more competitive level.

Free Clinics for Almaden Valley Girls Softball League Players

The clinics will be run by coaches and players from the Santa Clara University Broncos softball team. The clinics are available to players in all age groups.

It’s not too late to sign-up for the Almaden Little League 2011 Baseball Season.

Late registration will be held at the Almaden Branch Library & Community Center on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from 6:30-8:30pm.

AVGSL offers a fun, positive environment for players to learn and expand their softball skills.

The league promotes a sense of belonging for everyone, and emphasizes teamwork and a sense of individual success.

AVGSL is affiliated with the San Jose Police Activities League (PAL) and Amateur Softball Association (ASA).

Registration will remain open until January 31, 2011. The price is $175 per player for all divisions. You can register online.

Play Flag Football League in Almaden Valley – Fall 2010 Season

Logo: Play Flag FootballPlay Flag Football league offers 5-on-5 non-contact flag football designed for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 15. Each team has eight to ten children.

The season consists of two practice weeks, one pre-season game, ten regular-season games, and an end of season playoff jamboree where teams play at least two additional games. All league play takes place on Sundays, and games last 45 minutes.

The price is $125 per player. Each player receives a team jersey, shorts, flags, mouthpiece, and league t-shirt. All players receive a participation trophy from the league at the end of the season.

Practice and games are held at Castillero Middle School in Almaden Valley. The Fall 2010 season begins October 10, 2010 and ends December 12, 2010. Register online by September 30, 2010.
