Registration is now open for the 11th Annual / 2012 Math Enrichment Summer Program at Leland High School in Almaden Valley.
Math Enrichment is an independent Summer program for students going into Kindergarten through 11th Grade. It offers a challenging educational environment to all students, while creating an atmosphere that inspires a lifelong love of learning and helps each student to reach his or her fullest potential.
Almaden Valley teens have the opportunity to learn how to write a great essay for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
In this workshop presented by Kaplan Test Prep, get advice about what essay graders are looking for, as well as strategies on writing effective essays.
This workshop will include practice essay writing and evaluation.
The workshop is at Almaden Branch Library on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 6:30-8:30pm.

Los Alamitos Elementary School is holding its Walk-a-Thon and Silent Auction. This is the major fundraiser of the year for Los Alamitos.
The Walk-a-Thon and Silent Auction raise funds for Los Alamitos and the programs supported by its PTA, including the school’s S.M.A.R.T. programs (Science, Music, Art, Reading Lab, and Technology).
