Registration for Almaden Valley Youth Soccer League’s 2011 Spring 4v4 Microsoccer Season is now open. Spring Recreational 4v4 Microsoccer is a four against four game with no goalies. This format allows players to build confidence, strengthen their skills, and have fun.
As a part of the Doris Dillon Author Series, author and astronomer, David Aguilar, will be giving a talk about the solar system and space science in Almaden Valley. David is the author of 13 Planets: The Latest View of the Solar System and other space-themed nonfiction for elementary-school students.
Saratoga Historical Foundation is sponsoring a presentation on the “The History of New Almaden – Once the Largest Mine in California.” The talk is being presented by noted authors and local historians Art Boudreault and Mike Boulland, authors of the book New Almaden – Images of America.
