Registration for Almaden Valley Youth Soccer League’s 2011 Spring 4v4 Microsoccer Season is now open.
Spring Recreational 4v4 Microsoccer is a four against four game with no goalies. This format allows players to build confidence, strengthen their skills, and have fun.

As a part of the Doris Dillon Author Series, author and astronomer, David Aguilar, will be giving a talk about the solar system and space science in Almaden Valley.
David is the author of 13 Planets: The Latest View of the Solar System and other space-themed nonfiction for elementary-school students.

Almaden Valley Child Development Centers (CDCs) are holding open house for the new year. CDC programs offer before and after school educational and recreational opportunities for school age children.
Child Development Centers aim to enrich the lives of children through quality, accredited child development programs that support emergent curriculum based on the child’s learning style, temperament, and needs. CDCs put children at the center of an interconnected circle of families, teachers, and the community.
Almaden Senior Program and AARP are sponsoring a two-day Driver Safety Class for seniors age 50 and older.
People who complete the course will receive a certificate that may entitle them to a premium discount on their automobile insurance. Learn more about the Driver Safety Class on AARP’s website.
Almaden Senior Program has a number of domestic and international trips planned for 2011, including South Pacific, Copper Canyon, Canadian Rockies, and the Nile. These trips are a wonderful and hassle-free way to see the world with your significant other and/or friends.
Leland Bridge is holding its annual Leland Bridge Night fundraising event. Proceeds benefit Leland High School.

Williams Wins Foundation is holding its 2nd Annual / 2011 Crab & Pasta Feed, its biggest fundraiser of the year. Dinner includes all-you-can-eat crab, pasta, salad, and rolls.
