Home Inventory is Low But Buyers Not Slowing Down

Almaden Valley real estate inventory saw another gradual decline this past week. This week we have 60 single family homes for sale compared to 63 last week, while the percentage of listings under contract remained virtually the same with 48% this week compared to 47% last week.

In previous years, we would typically see gradual decline throughout the holiday season as sellers defer placing their homes on the market until the new year. This year, however, inventory is still low and buyers don’t seem to want to slow down. They are still interested in purchasing homes but will likely remain frustrated by the lack of inventory.
